US-based chip giant Intel Corporation, which has been shopping for new technologies and skilled talent, has quietly snapped up Hyderabad-based startup Ineda Systems, a low-key fab-less semiconductor product company, for an undisclosed amount.

ASUS today introduced the Dual GeForce RTX 2080 EVO series graphics cards, available in two variants based on factory-overclock. When it comes to gaming laptops, I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Asus. It’s probably personal preference, but I’m a sucker for Asus’ ROG (Republic of Gamers) line and its gorgeous aesthetic. The heavy-duty hardware and excellent build quality are also points in its favour.

Nvidia’s RTX series of GPUs bring some new tricks to the gaming scene, with Ray-Tracing being the one most talked about. However, the downside of having RTX enabled is the hit to the frame rates. Expanding its R&D presence in India, chip maker Intel recently inaugurated a new design facility in Bengaluru. Built with an investment of approximately INR 11 billion, the new design house – called SRR4 – is located at Intel’s campus in Bengaluru. Intel is in the fray to acquire Israeli networking infrastructure manufacturer Mellanox Technology for $6 billion in cash and shares, which constitute a 35 percent premium over its most recent valuation. Mellanox designs and manufactures infrastructure-scale networking hardware, such as high-bandwidth switches, adapters, and other data-center networking hardware, and when acquired by Intel.
