AMD gained CPU Market Share for 6th Straight Quarter, Thanks to Ryzen and Epycedit

Since the release of zen based Ryzen CPUs, AMD has been making rapid strides in both the consumer as well as the server market. According to a report from the U.S based research firm, Mercury Research, Lisa Su and Co have gained CPU market shares consecutively since the last 6 quarters. This is only going expected to get better for AMD after its 3rd Gen Ryzen processors and Navi graphics cards are released in Q3 of 2019.

Captives of Global Firms may Hire 1.5 lakh in Next Two Yearsedit

Captive units of global IT corporations may hire as many as 1.5 lakh people in the next two years, according to an agency that helps such firms with staffing needs, as companies focus on India to build solutions for a digital landscape. The country has over 1,200 tech-focused global in-house centres (GICs), of which more than a third are pure tech-focused companies that build critical technology for parent entities. These include chip makers such as Texas Instruments, Intel, AMD and Qualcomm.

This tie, NVIDIA launched the Ti variant before the regular variant.

10nm Intel Tiger Lake CPU Spotted on SiSoftwareedit

After Icelake and Comet Lake, another one of Intel’s upcoming chips, this time based on the Tiger Lake architecture has been shared via the SiSoftware processor database. NVIDIA Q1 2019 Earnings Beat Expectations, Stocks Riseedit

GPU maker NVIDIA has been having a hard time in the stock market in the last 6 months or so. The company’s shares rose to almost $300 per share back in October last year but then plummeted to less than $200 in the following months. Since then, they have been stuck in the sub $200 range with minor ups and downs every now and then. The company posted a disappointing fourth quarter last year which made things even worse, but things seem to be looking up for team green as their Q1 2019 earnings were well above expectations.

NVIDIA: RTX 20 Series GPUs Have Made Ray Tracing an Industry Standardedit

During NVIDIA’s 2019 Q1 earnings call, the company’s prospects weren’t too bright compared to last year. Both the consumer GPU business as well as the Data Center segment dropped when it comes to the YoY revenue. However, compared to the last quarter of 2018, the stocks were relatively in better shape and saw a minor spike of 5% after the announcement.
