AMD has finally unveiled their new products based on its new 7nm architecture for the PC gaming platform. AMD has launched the AMD Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards, 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Desktop Processors, as well as Ryzen 3000 Series Processors with Radeon Graphics.

After releasing the AMD Radeon VII earlier this year, Team Red finally dropped its AMD Navi graphics cards shortly after their reveal. And so far, things are promising. Based on our very positive reviews of the AMD Radeon RX 5700 and AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, it’s looking like these GPUs were crafted to take the PC componentsworld – not to mention, the best gaming PCs – by storm.

The new AMD Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards are here and have plenty to offer at a modest price point. But, one thing the new graphics cards don’t offer is alternative cooling options. AMD’s Radeon Business Unit Vice President and General Manager Scott Herkelman posted on Reddit to announce add-in-board (AIB) partners will release new designs in mid-August.

In our reviews of the Radeon RX 5700 XT and RX 5700, we observed that while AMD made leaps with performance/Watt, the cards felt let down by the archaic lateral-blower cooling solution that hit up to 43 dBA at load, and with temperatures of the RX 5700 XT GPU reaching up to 92°C – unacceptable for a GPU that only draws 220 W.

AMD’s Ryzen 3000 CPUs are finally in the market, and reviews have started pouring in, most of them terming team red as the giant killer, making Intel’s entire 8th and 9th Gen lineup obsolete (at the current pricing at the very least). But, things weren’t so positive for AMD a few years back, in fact, it was unimaginable to think that the company would be competing with Intel’s top-end i7s and i9s.

These are the first desktop processors to support PCIe 4.0 standard, which potentially doubles throughput to 16 gigatransfers per second when compared to PCIe 3.0 – something that’s increasingly important for things like GPUs, dedicated machine-learning accelerators, and non-volatile memory.

Newegg is not honoring AMD’s Xbox Game Pass for PC promotion for some of the very first buyers of AMD Ryzen 3000-series processors. One of these took to Reddit to complain that Newegg started including the Xbox Game Pass with Ryzen 3000-series purchases only after 2:30 PM on the 8th of July (U.S. timezone not mentioned).
