Roughly a week ago, AMD published a blog post where they detailed about the enhanced thermal monitoring that they had introduced in the Radeon VII and subsequently carried over to Navi based Radeon RX 5700 series. Previously, much like Nvidia, the sensors on Radeon GPUs would only report the Edge temperature. This data, although helpful, was much lower than the actual temperatures in the hottest portions of the core.

You can be an optimist here and go with the assumption that AMD has overclocked the Zen 2 chips out of the box to extract maximum performance for the mainstream consumer, or of course you can be one of the many disgruntled Redditors and accuse AMD of false marketing. Regardless, the end result is that the Ryzen 3000 CPUs have a complex scaling algorithm that is especially sensitive to temperature.

18 Core Intel Cascade Lake-X CPU Primed and Ready for Launch in Octoberedit

42% of cos find getting top tech candidates as the biggest challengeedit
As much as 42% of companies in the IT, startup and SME sectors find getting top tech candidates as the biggest challenge during recruitment, according to a report by talent assessment firm Mercer|Mettl. The report, titled ‘Tech Hiring & Technology Adoption Trends 2019’, is based on a survey of 350 top executives from more than 200 companies. Of these companies, 40% were SMEs, 30% were startups and the remaining were big IT services providers.
