The 9600K has a higher boost clock which will help take the lead in single-threaded workloads unoptimized for higher-end CPUs. Then there’s the cache. The Ryzen 3000 CPUs feature a fat L3 cache, something AMD calls GameCache. This essentially makes up for the delay caused by the Infinity Fabric by holding a good amount of data, thereby cutting down on the latency.

Almost 160 engineers who were working for Intel’s smartphone business in Bengaluru, will now become part of Apple’s global hardware team. This follows Apple’s acquisition of Intel’s smartphone business in a $1 milliion deal. Around 2200 employees of Intel from across the globe will now move to Apple. All intellectual property, equipment and leases will also be transferred along with them. These engineers will contribute to building and growing Apple’s cellular technologies.

The Radeon RX 570 is at its old price, at least for now. If you are looking for a cheap 1080p capable card, then this is your time. It probably won’t last for long, not at this price anyway. For entry level builds featuring a Core i3-9100 or the older Ryzen processors, this should do just fine. The Sapphire variant of the Radeon RX 5700 is selling @ 30,799 INR. If you’re alright with skipping the first wave of ray-traced games, and instead want higher frame rates at 1440p or even 4K capability, then the Radeon RX 5700 is the best option.

After months of speculation about Intel’s first discrete graphics card, we finally have an official announcement! The Intel XE GPU is based on Gen 12 graphics and will act as a testing platform for Intel. This is not just a great announcement for Intel fans. Another discrete GPU manufacturer in the mix means more choice and is, therefore, better for the consumer. Intel CEO Bob Swan confirmed the discrete graphics card in the latest earnings report. Chris Spook, Intel’s graphics marketing chief also confirmed this in a follow-up tweet.

While Intels Tiger Lake-U processors may still be a long way out from its official release, the rumor mill has been churning new details about the next-gen processor. According to a report on Tom’s Hardware, the next-gen processor is likely to support LPDDR4X and LPDDR5 memory (RAM). While Intel have been having troubles recently, the speculation about these 10nm chips have excited fans as LPDDRs data transfer rate can be maxed out at a whopping 6,400 Mbps compared to LPDDRs 3,200 Mbps and LPDDR4Xs 4,266 Mbps.

Apple Inc is ramping up hiring for a team that is working on new smart-home software and devices in an effort to catch up in a field where Google and Amazon.com Inc have dominated, according to people with knowledge of the matter. The company is seeking engineers to work in its Cupertino, California, headquarters and in San Diego as part of a group revamping Apple’s smart-home platform. The overhaul is designed to spur more outside accessory and appliance makers to connect smart-home products such as lights and garage doors with the iPhone and Apple’s voice-activated digital assistant, Siri. The team also is exploring the possibility of building new home devices beyond the HomePod speaker.
