2019 was a busy year for the graphics card market. We saw the launch of AMD’s Radeon Navi cards based on the new RDNA architecture, NVIDIA countered with the RTX 20 Supers and later the GTX 16 Supers. This year also got some action from AMD in the form of the Radeon RX 5600 XT, but it’s too early to tell how well it has done. We’ve pulled out the Steam Hardware Survey scores which give us an idea of which GPUs are most popular among Steam gamers.

AMD and Google announces 2nd Gen AMD EPYC processors to support Google cloud’s N2D VMsedit
Semiconductor manufacturing company AMD in collaboration with tech giant Google has announced the beta availability of N2D VMs on Google Compute Engine powered by 2 Gen AMD EPYC processors. Forrest Norrad, senior vice president and general manager, Datacenter and Embedded Solutions Business, AMD said, “Cloud providers and hosters around the world recognize the fantastic core scaling, massive memory bandwidth, impressive TCO saving and record setting performance of the 2nd Gen AMD EPYC processors. AMD and Google have worked together closely on these initial VMs to help ensure Google Cloud customers have a high-performance and cost-effective experience across a variety of workloads, and we will continue to work together to provide that experience this year and beyond.”

Intel i7-10700F leaks on Cinebench, barely edges out the Ryzen 7 3700Xedit
Single core and multi-core Cinebench R20 scores were recently spotted for what appears to be the Intel i7-10700F, an unannounced 8-core, 16-thread Comet Lake part. The alleged i7-10700F features a 2.9 GHz base clock, on par with leaked specs for the vanilla i7-10700. The i7-10700F scored 4781 on the multi-core test and 492 on the single core test. The single-threaded score is approximately 2 percent higher then Ryzen 7 3700X, while the multi-threaded score is well within the margin of error.

US-based chipmaker Qualcomm may be about to suffer a setback and that may be at the hands of Chinese smartphone makers including Oppo and OnePlus. It seems like Oppo and OnePlus are said to join Samsung, Huawei and Apple by launching its own chipsets that may power all future handsets from these Chinese smartphone players. Till now, Oppo has used both MediaTek as well as Qualcomm SoCs for its smartphones.

For my review, I had it connected to my 4K TV, which is not the best way to play games on a PC as capable as this one.
