AMD Rumored to be Working on 18 TFLOP RDNA 2 GPU, Up to 50% More Efficient in Ray Tracing than NVIDIA’s RTX Cards?edit

Okay, so this is exciting news. It’s Big Navi, based on RDNA 2 with ray-tracing support, VRS and AI-based upscaling. Before we continue, yes this is an unverified rumor, but it’s a juicy one, so I decided to cover it nonetheless. Turns out AMD will be unveiling (not launching mind you) three, not one RDNA 2 based Radeon graphics cards at their Financial Day three days from now. These monster GPUs will compete in the enthusiast space with the GeForce RTX 2080 Super and the RTX 2080 Ti.

AMD Radeon RX 590 GME is Real and China Exclusive?edit

It’s been a while now that Chinese market has introduced wide range computer hardware to their local online stores. Most of these products were not official releases from the actual brands and appeared to be a bit sketchy. However, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has been dealing with things differently. With the release of the RX 5500 XT, AMD also launched a new RX 590 Golden Mouse Edition (GME)

Mysterious AMD Radeon RX 590 GME GPU Spotted in Asian Marketsedit

The official reference clock frequencies of AMD Radeon RX 590 GME are still unknown but it’s expected to be around 120 MHz slower than the non-GME variant. This puts the upcoming card much closer to Radeon RX 580 than to the standard Radeon RX 590. All other specifications are probably going to be exactly same as the classic RX 590 with 2304 processing cores, 12nm Polaris 30 XT GPU, 144 TMUs and 32 ROPs. The card will feature 8 GB of GDDR5 VRAM with a 256-bit memory bus.

Another NVIDIA Ampere GPU with 8,000 Cores and 32GB HBM2 Memory Spottededit

Another unknown NVIDIA GPU has been spotted which can only be an Ampere part with as many as 8,000 CUDA cores (nearly). The graphics processor is paired with 32GB of HBM2 memory across a potential 1,024-bit (if one stack) or 2,048-bit (if two stacks) bus. It has a total of 124 SMs and a whopping 32MB of L2 cache, five times more than the V100’s (Pascal-based Tesla) 6MB.
