AMD Reveals Next-GEN RYZEN, EPYC CPU Roadmap, BIG NAVI Coming by end of 2020 (PROACTIVE)edit

AMD just hosted its annual Analyst Day, where CEO Dr Lisa Su outlined the company’s future plans in great detail. Part of what was shared includes information on the next-generation Ryzen CPUs, RDNA2 based GPUs, and some information on the fabrication node and even AMD’s server-side products.

Laptops powered by AMD Renoir Ryzen 4000 APUs are not too far from release, and we have been seeing several benchmarks featuring the new APUs leak over the past few weeks. AMD offers a Pro- version of the APUs for business customers, which we have seen in the likes of the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 and 15 that were recently announced. A comparative benchmark between the Ryzen 5 4500U and the Ryzen 5 Pro 4650U has now emerged showing the kind of performance difference that can be expected between them.

Throughout my usage, the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 5 3500 has impressed me with its raw performance and thermal efficiency. Besides these benchmarks, we also played a couple of games with the Radeon RX 5600 XT and we have no issues and most of the games were performing as expected.  Even if you are planning to build a PC for regular usage, the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 5 3500 is an excellent CPU that offers good day-to-day performance like browsing the web or using office software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or Excell.

AMD Ryzen 4000 Powered ASUS Gaming Laptops Up for Pre-Order: Shipping on 16th Marchedit

AMD’s Ryzen 4000 powered laptops are finally available for pre-order in the form of the ASUS TUF Gaming and Zephyrus laptops with a shipping date of 16th March. Newegg Canada’s listings for the first wave of Renoir laptops are now live after a prolonged wait. The laptops feature the Ryzen 4000H series APUs paired with NVIDIA’s GTX 16 series discrete GPUs, making them ideal for gamers and power-users. They all feature high-speed NVMe SSDs and 16GB of DDR4 memory, while the display varies from 1080p 60Hz to 144Hz for eSports and FPS fans.

Intel’s 10th Gen CPU lineup is just a few months away from launch, for all we know. With Intel looking to get an advantage over AMD, pretty competitive pricing can be expected. While earlier, a few retailers had leaked the price of i5-10600 CPU, today, a Belgian retailer has leaked the price of the entire lineup. The entry-level i5 KF model, without the iGPU starts at $266. It goes all the way up to the i9-10900K, which costs a whopping 562$.

INTEL Says EU Got its 2009 Verdict wrongedit

The US company set out its arguments at the General Court in a re- hearing of a case seen as testing the European Commission’s power to go after US tech giants which offer incentives to lure customers from competitors. EU antitrust enforcers in 2009 said Intel tried to block Advanced Micro Devices by giving rebates to computer makers Dell, Hewlett- Packard Co, NEC and Lenovo for buying most of their chips from Intel.

The study finds that freshers with niche skills – like cloud, network & cyber security, data science and AI/ML receive a salary that is 65% higher than mainstream skills like application development and quality & testing. The highest salaries are for AI/ML, with the average at almost Rs 15 lakh.
