Resident Evil 3 Performance Review – AMD vs NVIDIA [1080p/4K] (PROACTIVE)edit

Resident Evil 3 Remake is a very well optimized game, at least on PC. The console ports, however, may need some more work. With it being an AMD partnered title, it performs better than expected on team red’s cards. However, with the optimization being as good here, it performs better than most AAA games across the board right now. I’m guessing level design here really takes the cake, as the game is segmented off with different, limited open areas to explore. Overall, I’m really impressed with the work Capcom has done here.

AMD’s Ryzen 4000 Laptops Hit Retail, R7 4800H #1 Mobility Chip in Cinebench, Blender and PassMark Benchmarksedit

AMD’s Ryzen 4000 powered notebooks finally hit retail today after a long wait, and oh boy, do they deliver. Just hours after launch, and it’s a bloodbath. The Ryzen 7 4800H has already started topping benchmark charts. This includes Cinebench R15, R20, Blender, 7-zip and the PassMark laptop benchmark database. The top-end Renoir chips crush the Intel’s Core i9-9980HK by a sound margin and leave the i7 parts far behind. Granted, the 10th Gen Comet Lake lineup is about to launch soon, but they won’t be more than 10-15% faster than their predecessors. And that’s per Intel’s official marketing materials. The actual gains will be in the ~10% range.

AMD launches Ryzen 4000 Renoir Notebook Processors: R9 4900H/HS and 4800H/HS Key Highlightsedit

AMD just launched the Ryzen 4000 notebook APU family, highlighted by the heavy-hitting Ryzen 7 4800H and flagship, Ryzen 9 4900HS. With the arrival of these 7nm Zen 2 parts in the mobile space, there is no reason to buy an Intel Coffee Lake H part: AMD beats Team Blue in both price and performance.  As per our earlier report, the Ryzen 7 4800H, which is actually shipping in laptops at present, is now the world’s fastest mobile CPU. The Ryzen 9 4900HS will likely take the throne in the weeks to come, but it’s remarkable how even the mid-range Ryzen 7 part does so much better than Intel’s top-end i9-9980HK.

AMD Ryzen 4800H Laptops just hit retail: world’s fastest mobile CPU demolishes top-end Intel i9-9980HK in Cinebench, Blender, AND Passmark with 40 percent lower power drawedit

AMD’s Renoir Ryzen 4000 series APUs just arrived in the notebook space. Cinebench, Blender, and Passmark benchmarks show the higher end Ryzen 7 4800H zooming past the Intel i9-9980HK to become the fastest mobile CPU on the market at the moment. This is likely to change as soon as AMD’s higher end Ryzen 9 4900 series SKUs and Intel’s Comet Lake H parts arrive on the market. But for a part that goes up against the i7-9750H, the Ryzen 7 4800H offers frankly ridiculous value for money.

The octa-core i7-10875H scores 8369 in leaked Geekbench scoresedit

Intel is wary of AMD’s Ryzen 4000H laptop gaming processors so they will launch quite a few Comet Lake H gaming CPUs to counter the red team. Already we have spotted a few of them on benchmarks and soon they will release in the coming months. Intel is preparing an eight-core, sixteen thread Comet Lake Core i7-10875H which was recently spotted on Geekbench with an impressive multithreaded score of 8369. This makes it faster than the Coffee Lake i9 series, around 45% higher than the Core i9-9880H.

Microsoft makes changes to Teams, Xbox Live as its cloud services usage grows by 775%edit

Microsoft reported a whopping 775% surge in usage of its cloud services where the governments have enforced social distancing or restrictions. Its top services include Xbox Live gaming platform, Teams collaboration tool, and Windows Virtual Desktop. The growth in usage has also forced Microsoft to make some important changes to these platforms to reduce the stress on telecommunications infrastructure. “Although the majority of deployments still succeed, (so we encourage any customers experiencing allocation failures to retry deployments), we have a process in place to ensure that customers that encounter repeated issues receive relevant mitigation options.”
