Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X are all set to give dedicated gaming rigs a serious run for their money come December, 2020. And while dedicated gaming PCs might still be able to ward off the threat, laptops could need some more firepower to compete. Intel and Nvidia have now jumped in to give gaming laptops that firepower. While Intel has launched its first 10th Gen Comet Lake H-series processors for laptops, Nvidia has announced its new RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2070 Super mobile GPUs — their highest end and most expensive offerings to date designed to complement each other in every sense of the word.

Nvidia has been dominating the GPU landscape for some time now and it looks like AMD has finally had enough. Details of its forthcoming ‘Big Navi’ Radeon RX Gamma XT have been leaked out on an internal company slide that spills the beans on this absolute powerhouse of a graphics card. This thing hasn’t been targeted at Nvidia’s Turing-based cards, but rather its upcoming Ampere-based cards expected later this year.

PC and printer major HP on Thursday announced a variety of relief initiatives aimed at arming its global channel partner community to effectively navigate the operational and financial challenges associated with Covid-19. Customers can also take advantage of a delayed payment structure or enroll in a PC rental programme, available on equipment contracts for a period of 12 months, said the company. After 12 months, rental devices can be extended, purchased or returned for an upgrade, it added.

Asus today has announced several new laptops in their Zephyrus lineup of gaming laptops, with one of them being particularly interesting.  The Zephyrus lineup of gaming laptops from Asus have always been about combining powerful components with an ultra-compact form-factor, but with the Zephyrus M15, the company is also adding good looks to the mix.

AMD launched its new series of GPUs based on the NAVI architecture recently at Computex. Two standard and one special edition cards were unveiled in the series, namely Radeon RX 5700, RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition. It was always expected for AMD to add more GPUs to the Navi family but the names and the actual number of cards were not known. However, according to the latest leak coming from Komachi’s Twitter, SAPPHIRE might have just given the game away regarding the new Radeon RX 5000 series GPUs. SAPPHIRE just recently registered multiple cards in the Radeon RX 5000 series at The European Economic Community (EEC).

Intel has launched its 10th Gen H series mobile processors for content creators and gamers alike. Intel’s 10th Gen H series processors are engineered for powerhouse laptops. However, CPUs alone don’t make a powerhouse machine; graphics cards play an equally important role in the whole setup.  Nvidia has announced two new mobile graphics cards in the form of the RTX 2070 Super and RTX 2070 Super. Like their desktop counterparts, both these graphics cards are based on Turing architecture and boasts dedicated RT cores. Additionally, Nvidia is also offering the RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 in Max-Q configurations, intended for slim gaming laptops.

Intel and Nvidia have just announced their next generation of processors and graphics cards. Soon after, Asus ROG has announced its revamped lineup of gaming laptops in India, boasting of these new processors as well as graphics cards. Most of the older models from last years have received specification bumps whereas the high-end models now get a dual screen model. The new laptops still don’t have a launch date and the prices are still kept secret.
