In a rather unexpected turn of events, AMD has given in to the demands of enthusiasts and fans and announced that it won’t drop Ryzen 4000 “Zen 3” support from the older B450 and X470 motherboards. But yes, there is a catch. Zen 3 support will be enabled via an “optional BIOS update” and it will be a one-way BIOS upgrade path, meaning that you won’t be able to flash back to the older BIOS.

Revenue dropped 9.7% to $10.6 billion.
