The LG laptop is seen running on the new quad-core AMD Ryzen 3 4300U and the octa-core Ryzen 7 4700U processors. Both of these APUs are based on AMD’s latest Zen 2 architecture and however, lack SMT support with just 15 W, we may see a Ryzen 5 4500U variant in future as well.

HP has expanded its range of gaming laptops with the launch of a new Omen 15 and a Pavilion Gaming 16. The new Omen 15 model comes in a redesigned chassis that has a smaller footprint than the previous generation. You can also choose between Intel and AMD processors with up to 10th-generation Intel Core i7 and up to AMD Ryzen 7 amongst the options. Further, the new Omen 15 laptop offers up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and upgraded connectivity options, including Thunderbolt 3. The Pavilion Gaming 16, on the other hand, is the company’s first 16-inch gaming laptop. It comes with up to 10th-generation Intel Core i7 processors.

Asus India has just launched two new gaming laptops in India under its affordable TUF lineup. The all-new Asus TUF A15 and A17 notebooks come with the latest AMD Ryzen processors and offer a plethora of features including an RGB keyboard, 144Hz high refresh rate display and much more. Both the Asus A15 and A17 are similar-looking notebooks with different screen sizes. While the A15 comes with a 15.6-inch FullHD panel, the A17 gets a larger 17.3-inch display.

Sony on Monday postponed a streamed event at which it was to showcase games tailored for new-generation PlayStation 5 consoles, stepping back amid growing unrest in US cities. The digital showcase of PS5 games had been set for Thursday. Japan-based Sony did not indicate a new date for the online presentation. “While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration,” the PlayStation team said in a tweeted message.

AMD and technology partner Penguin Computing Inc., a division of SMART Global Holdings, Inc., announced that New York University (NYU), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Rice University are the first universities named to receive complete AMD-powered, high-performance computing systems from the AMD HPC Fund for COVID-19 research. AMD also announced it will contribute a cloud-based system powered by AMD EPYC and AMD Radeon Instinct processors located on-site at Penguin Computing, providing remote supercomputing capabilities for selected researchers around the world.

Asus on Tuesday launched AMD Ryzen 4000-series powered TUF A15 and TUF A17 gaming laptops in India. Starting at Rs 60,990, the TUF A15 notebook will be available in bonfire black (FA506) and fortress gray (FA566) colours, whereas, the TUF A17 (FA706) will be available in fortress gray colour only. Along with the TUF laptops, the Taiwanese electronics maker also launched AMD Ryzen powered GA15 and GA35 desktops under its gaming ROG brand.
