Acer has launched a new Acer Swift 3 laptop in India at a starting price of Rs 59,999. According to a tweet shared by Acer India, Swift 3 is the country’s first-ever AMD Ryzen TM 4000-series powered laptop. It is ultra-light and slim and comes with a battery life of up to 12 hours. The laptop has 8 GB LPDDR4 system memory, 512 GB NVMe PCIe 3.0 storage and it runs on Windows 10. It has a 14-inch full HD IPS (In-Plane Switching) narrow-bezel display. The screen-to-body ratio of the laptop is 82.73 percent.

Gaming laptops from Asusedit
Tech giant Asus has launched an all-new range of TUF gaming laptops and ROG desktops for Indian users. The brand has rolled out two models: A15 and A17, under the TUF series, featuring the new 7 nanometer AMD Ryzen 4000 Series Mobile Processors. A15 has a Bonfire Black (FA506) and a Fortress Gray (FA566) version, whereas A17 (FA706) will be available in Fortress Gray version.

With more parents and organizations purchasing laptops, tablets and television sets for facilitating online classes for students in the state, there is a dearth of such electronics items in the state. “Normally, the average sales of laptops had been 7,000-8000 pieces a month. But, the combined sales of laptops brought out by all brands in the state in May were more than 20,000. This is the data pertaining to the sales through retail outlets or consumer sales. If the commercial sales or bulk sales are also taken into consideration, the total number will go up further,” said Aji Thomas, area sales manager, AMD, a US-based processor manufacturer which supplies the product to major brands.

Mubadala owns electronic chip manufacturing company Global Foundries and has stake in several technology companies like AMD.

Intel’s Sapphire Rapids CPUs are going to launch in the last quarter of 2021, according to a leaked slide. Fortnite’s Live Event, Season 3 Postponed Again, Epic Games Announcesedit
