Intel has started promoting its 11th Gen Tiger Lake processors, expected to debut on the sub-30W mobile platform later this year. This particular marketing tactic is rather unorthodox. Intel has started sending a blue planter with two orange lilies (Lilium ‘Tiger’s Roar’) seeds to certain favored reviewers, indicating the impending summer launch of the 11th Gen mobile lineup.

AMD’s Ryzen 9 3900X has dropped to an all-time low price of approximately $400 across different online retailers. While Amazon is selling the 12-core CPU for $415, the chip is even cheaper at Microcenter with a price-tag of $399. Intel’s newly launched 10th Gen Comet Lake-S processors, on the other hand, are either out of stock or overpriced everywhere you look. The notably slower Core i7-10700K is selling for $699 on Amazon and is unavailable on Newegg.

Xiaomi is all set to launch its first laptop in India and it will be an international launch. The company recently confirmed that the product will be called the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Horizon Edition. And now, additional specifications of the laptop have been revealed. According to the latest Tweet from Mi India, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Horizon Edition will be based on a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and the company claims that there are only a few laptops in the country with this process.

David Kumar, AMD’s Chief Financial Officer, recently confirmed that Team Red’s “Big Navi” RDNA2 parts will arrive on PC before the launch of the ninth-gen Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X consoles. According to Kumar, Big Navi will be a “halo” product, indicating price and performance levels well above the current US$399 AMD Navi RX 5700 XT.

Our sources tell us the HP laptop will launch in the middle of June. HP will be collaborating with a leading telecom player to provide dedicated data plans through a SIM card so that users remain always connected. The laptop will be marketed under the “Always Connected” banner, which indicates an Intel-based 4G LTE modem, if marketing speak is anything to go by.

With the government allowing several relaxations in the last two phases of the lockdown including sale of non-essentials on ecommerce platforms, consumer electronics companies in India have seen sharp recovery in demand and are hopeful that the trend will continue in the coming quarters. According to Arnold Su, Business Head for Asus India’s Consumer and Gaming PC division, the company has recovered 100% of its sales in the “post lockdown phase” and sees the spike going “higher”. Asus has reopened over 100 of its stores in areas where offline operations are possible, but got a “significant” amount of sales through e-commerce partners.
