As per the latest Geekbench scores of the Ryzen 3000XT processors, AMD’s Matisse refresh will snatch the performance crown from Intel’s 10th Gen Comet Lake lineup just months after the latter’s launch. Unlike traditional tests where Intel would lead in single-threaded workloads with AMD edging past in multi-threaded, this time the Ryzen 3000XT processors take the cake across al the benchmarks.

Lenovo’s official Weibo account has explained that Intel is finding it hard to keep up with AMD’s latest Renoir processors which is why this decision was taken. Lenovo’s marketing lead for China further said that Intel can’t keep up with AMD in the 45W segment and can only respond with price cuts. In case you were wondering, Tiger Lake will only launch in the sub-30W market for 14″ and smaller form factor notebooks.

Semiconductor maker Nvidia Corp said on Tuesday it struck a deal with Germany’s Daimler Mercedes-Benz to provide cars produced from 2024 with a chip and software platform that can eventually be used for autonomous driving functions. “We intend to join forces to create a software-defined vehicle and deploy this across the entire next generation’s fleet,” Nvidia Senior Director of Automotive Danny Shapiro told reporters. Shapiro declined to disclose the financial terms of the deal. The deal covers chips and software for the vehicle system.

Having pulled ahead in the race to develop a software-based vehicle operating system, U.S. electric car pioneer Tesla faces a new challenge from an alliance of German luxury carmaker Daimler and U.S. computer graphics specialist Nvidia. Daimler and Nvidia unveiled a deal on Tuesday to develop and equip the German company’s Mercedes-Benz cars with a next-generation chip and software platform that could eventually be used to help vehicles drive by themselves.

Technology giant Acer has unveiled three new premium Chromebooks including one that is aimed at business users in a virtually held “the next@Acer” launch event earlier this week. The Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713 and Chromebook Spin 713 are powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel Core processors and are a part of Intel’s Project Athena program that aims at offering advanced laptop experiences and designs.
