A report from Compal has surfaced alleging that Intel will launch its 11th Gen Rocket Lake CPUs for notebooks by the end of 2020. It’s not clear whether these are the 15W U series parts or the 45W HP chips, but I presume the former. Similar to how Comet Lake-U complemented Ice Lake-U, the Rocket Lake-U lineup will make up for the limited number of Tiger Lake-based devices.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is likely to come out with a national policy framework for establishing data centres across the country, which the states will be free to either follow in total or mould slightly to suit their needs, senior government officials said. Among the major policy introductions in the new data centre policy framework, the MeitY is likely to push for usage of renewable energy such as solar energy for day-to-day operations of the building which will house the data disks, an official said.

American technology company HP recently introduced the HP 14s ER series notebooks with built-in 4G. In this series, there is the HP 14s er0003TU laptop that comes in a single color variant: Natural Silver. The built-in 4G connection is one of the highlights of the device. The laptop is priced at Rs 65,999. We got a hold of the device and here’s how it fared in our tests. The HP 14s comes powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core-i5 processor and runs Windows 10.

Alphabet Inc. is selling $10 billion of bonds with rock bottom yields, in a rare debt sale that will help combat racial inequality, among other sustainability projects. The parent company of Google is looking to fund organizations that support Black entrepreneurs, small and medium businesses impacted by Covid-19, as well as affordable housing, among other eligible proceeds listed in bond documents seen by Bloomberg. The borrowings can also be used to finance clean energy projects and green buildings.

A case was made for allowing Microsoft to continue its negotiations with TikTok, with any eventual acquisition involving the app’s complete split from the parent company in China, including the transfer of all American users’ data to the US. ByteDance, the Chinese firm that owns TikTok, had initially planned to hold on a minority stake while selling most of its US operations, an idea that Trump rejected, wanting a total 100% acquisition.
