Horizon Zero Dawn is the latest among console exclusives getting launched on PC, and the port has several major issues due to oversights. This is not unheard of in ports, from clunky UI’s to sensitivity issues, but this particular port has some far more glaring issues. A major visual feature has been noticed missing by users on various online forums: the game lacks Snow Deformation effects. In the original game, snow doesn’t appear until the DLC (Frozen Wilds) and was hence an added effect as part of the DLC. It seems that the porting company, a third-party studio, Virtuos, failed to take that into account.

NVIDIA will be holding a GeForce Special Event on Sept 1, 2020 at 9:30PM IST to highlight the company’s latest innovations in gaming and graphics and will be hosted by CEO, Jensen Huang. The event is rumoured to host the unveiling of NVIDIA’s next-gen GeForce graphics cards based on the Ampere microarchitecture. Ampere graphics cards are successors to the current gen Turing RTX 2000 series of graphics cards. The first NVIDIA Ampere graphics card, the A100 was announced during the GTX 2020 keynote.

The Xbox Series X, Microsoft’s next-generation game console, is set to officially launch in November. The high-profile console will go on sale during the 2020 Holiday season, although there is still no information on pricing. The Xbox Series X will compete with Sony’s PlayStation 5, which is also on track to launch during the 2020 holiday season. The Redmond, Washington-based Microsoft said the Xbox Series X will be able to run “thousands of games spanning four generations”—including 100 titles “optimized for Xbox Series X”.

India witnessed a record-buying of notebooks by the enterprises as millions of employees worked from home in the June quarter as HP led the overall traditional PC market once again with the 32.8 percent market share, a new IDC report said on Tuesday. Lenovo with 27.5 percent market share replaced Dell (17.8 percent share) in the second position despite witnessing a 62.7 percent decline in its overall shipments. Overall, the Indian traditional PC market inclusive of desktops, notebooks, and workstations declined by 37.3 percent year-over-year (YoY) in the second quarter, said the IDC ‘Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker’.

The traditional PC market had registered a total shipment of 3.3 million units in the June 2019 quarter, which was the biggest quarter in the past five years as Lenovo had executed a mega-deal of 1.1 million units for Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT). “Outside this deal, the PC market saw an annual decline of 6.3 percent in Q2 2020. In the product categories, desktop PCs were the most impacted with a 46.4 percent decline,” IDC said in a report.

Dell Technologies on Tuesday launched a new 14-inch premium business laptop for the global market. The ‘Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise’ laptop is available starting at $1,299 in select markets and will be available soon with Intel Core i3 processors starting at $1,099. The company is yet to announce the price and availability of the new device in India.

The laptop comes with a starting price of $1,299.00 and will soon be available with Intel Core i3 processors starting at $1,099.00. Dell Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise laptop has a 14-inch 4K panel with Low Blue Light display which is said to offer improved readability and eye comfort.

Lenovo Legion 5 gaming laptops with AMD Ryzen 4000 series processors is scheduled to launch on August 18 in India. This comes after a couple of launches by other laptop makers like Asus, Acer and HP and now the Legion 5 will try and make a mark with up to Ryzen 7 processors. The company has been teasing the Legion 5 from a while now and we also spotted a listing for the Legion 5 on Amazon India. This indicates that the Legion 5 will likely sell on Amazon India at launch.
