It would’ve been hard to believe just a year ago, but Sony’s been getting serious about releasing PlayStation platform exclusives on PC. Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain, and Beyond: Two Souls, narrative-heavy experiences that were never expected to leave the walled garden of Sony’s Eco-system popped up on the Epic Game Store and then on Steam. And then, the floodgates really opened, with Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding arriving on PC, closely followed by Horizon: Zero Dawn. We’ve even seen recent reports that Bloodborne will make its way over.

Xiaomi has made a new addition to its RedmiBook range of laptops. The tech giant has added to its existing range of laptops by announcing a new laptop in China — RedmiBook Air 13. Redmi has put up the laptop for pre-order in China. There’s also support for features such as DC Dimming. Running the show for the device is the 10th generation Intel Core i5-10210Y processor that can clock a Turbo Boost of up to 4.5GHz. This has been paired with RAM and storage configurations — 8GB and 16GB RAM with 512GB SSD.

Microsoft has fixed 120 vulnerabilities with its new security patch, including two zero-day bugs in Windows operating system and Internet Explorer that were being exploited by the hackers. Microsoft has released an August 2020 security update that has patched 120 vulnerabilities across 13 different products, from Edge to Windows, and from SQL Server to the .NET Framework.

The South Korean giant is planning to come back big this time with its next Exynos chip joining hands with both ARM for its CPU cores and AMD for graphics. Previously, Samsung had its custom Mongoose cores in development which never went well.  A new report from Business Korea says a new strategic partnership between the trio: Samsung, ARM, and AMD. It’s current flagship Exynos 990 is way out of the league in terms of general performance and the Mali GPU is just not compelling enough.

Honor has officially revealed the logo of its upcoming gaming laptop series. The Honor Hunter series is the official name of the gaming laptop series and the logo of the upcoming series was revealed on Chinese microblogging website Weibo.   Earlier leaks of the laptop hint at an AMD CPU (possibly the Ryzen 4000-series processors) and dedicated GPU. However, specifics about the laptop still remain a mystery and along with a release date.
