Best Motherboards for AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, Ryzen 7 3700X and Ryzen 9 3900Xedit

AMD recently announced that it would support its next-gen Ryzen 4000 CPUs on existing 400 series boards, in addition to the newer B550 and X570 chipsets. While that’s good news for owners of the older motherboards, we’d strictly advise against buying a B450 or X470 board. There are certain caveats that will limit 400 series owners after they flash the beta BIOS meant for the newer processors. You can read more about that here. As such we’ll only include the 500 series boards, with the newer A520 motherboards for budget users.

AMD’s Ryzen 5000 processors to come with free copy of Far Cry 6 starting 5 Novemberedit

AMD’s Ryzen 5000 processors will be available on 5 November and buyers of the high-end chips will now get a free copy of Far Cry 6 along with it. Anyone buying a Ryzen 9 5950X, Ryzen 9 5900X or Ryzen 7 5800X will get the free game, according to a report by Techradar. However, those purchasing the mid-range Ryzen 5 5600X will not get the freebie. The report adds that those who buy the Ryzen 5000 chips and those purchasing a machine which comes with one of those CPUs will be able to get a digital download of Far Cry 6 when the game is released on 18 February 2021.

ASUS today announced the Republic of Gamers (ROG) Crosshair VIII Dark Hero, TUF Gaming X570 Pro (WiFi) and ROG Strix B550-XE Gaming WiFi — three gaming motherboards designed for gaming builds featuring the latest-generation AMD Ryzen Zen 3 architecture processors. In addition to the latest X570 and B550 motherboards, all ASUS 500 series motherboards (X570, B550 and A520) are ready for AMD Ryzen Zen 3 architecture processors.

AMD’s RDNA 2 Powered Navi 21 XT GPU To Run at Insanely High Clock Speeds with 16GB GDDR6 VRAM, All At 255 TGPedit

During it’s Zen 3 presentation, AMD CEO Lisa Su showed us the world’s first RDNA 2 benchmarks, possibly showcasing the Navi 21 XT (‘Big Navi) card. Now, a new leak suggests that RDNA 2 is built to run at insanely high clock speeds, which kind of makes sense when you look at the same present in PS5/Xbox Series X. Patrick Schur has now shared some specs for the Navi 21 XT card, suggesting it will come with 16GB GDDR6 memory and run at 2.4 GHz, all under 255W TGP.

Sony announces PS5 Indian priceedit

Sony, after a considerable delay, has announced the Indian pricing for the PlayStation 5. The PlayStation 5 (with optical drive) will sell for Rs 49,990 and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition (without Optical Drive) will sell for Rs 39,990. There’s no update on the release date for the PlayStation 5 and Sony confirms that it will be updating soon regarding the same. Some of the leaks around the internet are suggesting a November 19th release.

Apple’s ARM-powered Macs to arrive in Novemberedit

At the time, the CEO Tim Cook had confirmed that Apple would be transitioning from Intel to ARM processors in the coming years with the first batch of ARM-powered Macs arriving later this year. Now, a new report suggests that the company could launch its next batch of Mac computers as early as next month. As per a report by tipster Jon Prosser, the iPhone maker will host an ARM Mac event next month wherein it would launch its ARM-powered Mac computers.
