The new Legion 5 features a 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The display on the Legion 5 refreshes 120 times per second. The Legion 5 sports AMD Ryzen 5 4600H-series mobile processor with 6 core AMD Ryzen 4000H series is built on a 7nm manufacturing process and features AMD Zen 2 core architecture. The company claims that the Zen 2 core architecture delivers an improved speed and performance.

Lenovo has launched its latest gaming laptop, the Legion 5. It is powered by the 7nm AMD Ryzen 5 4600H-Series mobile processor paired with up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti GPU. It is available in the sole Phantom Black colour option and is priced at Rs 75,990 for the base variant. The device is currently available on Lenovo.com and Lenovo Exclusive Stores, and will soon be made available across other online partner platforms, and retail stores.

For gamers, it is good news to finally see the AMD Ryzen 4000H powered laptops aplenty in India. There are only a handful of devices that come with one of AMD’s high-end processors meant for gaming. The reason why Lenovo could not procure sufficient processors from AMD that cited it is struggling with production during the pandemic. Now that AMD is preparing to release the new Ryzen 5000 series processors to laptop and PC companies, the chipmaker is bringing the last-generation Ryzen 4000 series to India.

According to a report from Gamersnexus, while the supply of NVIDIA’s RTX 30 series graphics cards is gradually improving, AMD’s Big Navi cards are facing more severe shortages than the former ever did. Talking at the Credit Suisse 24th Annual Technology Conference, AMD CEO, Dr. Lisa Su promised that the company will be launching Zen 3 based notebooks and servers shortly. The next-gen Ryzen notebook APUs will be based on two architectures: Zen 2 and Vega (Lucienne), and Zen 3 and Vega (Cezanne). The server lineup, on the other hand, will be called Milan, and offer up to 30% more performance than the existing Epyc Rome chips, with the multi-threaded performance seeing marginal gains.

The latest AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin driver has introduced support for ray-tracing on Vulkan based titles. Keep in mind that games that use NVIDIA’s Vulkan extension for implementing ray-tracing won’t be supporting, instead, the newly launched VRTEs will be supported.
