The AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is built on the Zen 3 architecture, which on a surface level may look similar to Zen 2 – they’re both 7nm, after all. However, AMD has redesigned the architecture from the ground up to increase IPC performance and efficiency to the point where it leaves no prisoners.

AMD Continues to Lead in the Russian CPU Market: Core i3-10100F Most Popular Intel SKU in Marchedit

AMD continued to dominate the CPU market in Russia for the (insert large number) continuous month. The 3rd Gen Ryzen 5 3600 was once again the most popular processor in the Russian Federation, with a market share of 9.3% (down from 9.7% in Feb), followed by the Ryzen 5 5600X which held a share of 8.0% (up from 7.6% in Feb). The Ryzen 7 5800X had an excellent month, coming in third with a share of 7.1% (up from just 5% in Feb) and dislodging Intel’s budget-grade Core i5-10400F

TSMC: Semiconductor Shortages May Extend into 2022edit

TSMC, the world’s largest foundry has warned that the existing semiconductor shortages may extend into 2022, rather than resolving by the year’s end. The company revised its spending and growth targets for this year while predicting a flat second quarter. However, there isn’t all bad news. The supply of chips should start improving from the next quarter (Q3-2021), but the overall deficit is expected to last throughout the year and possibly into the next year.
