AMD Zen 4 Ryzen CPU Pad Design Leaks Out: DDR5, 28 PCIe 4.0 Lanes and up to 170W TDPedit
Thanks to @ExecFix, we now have a rough mockup of the pin layout of AMD’s Zen 4 based Ryzen 6000 (Raphael) processors which will move from the PGA-based AM4 socket to the LGA-based AM5. While we only know the basics of the next-gen Ryzen CPUs, it’s almost certain that they will be based on TSMC’s 5nm EUV process with a core count exceeding 16 and a TDP of 120W for the X variants.

AMD Strix Point Hybrid (Big-Little) CPU to Feature 3nm Zen 5 Cores, Zen 4D Cores, & L4 Cacheedit
According to new information on the web, AMD’s first hybrid core architecture, codenamed “Strix Point” will feature Zen 5 cores as the high-performance cluster (big cores) and Zen 4D, a derivative of Zen 4 as the low power (small cores) cluster. Furthermore, the processor will leverage TSMC’s 3nm process which is expected since the targeted launch date for the SKU is sometime in late 2024, or early 2025.

AMD Working on Milan-X SP w/ Stacked Dies and HBM Memoryedit
According to multiple sources, AMD is working on 3D stacked server processors, codenamed Milan-X with high-bandwidth and impressive I/O specifications. While it’s unclear whether the processors will use stacked compute dies or memory (HBM2E?), the target is likely a custom Epyc processor tailored to specific kinds of workloads, such as HPC or other high-bandwidth applications.
