Intel CEO: TSMC/Taiwan are Unstable; Gelsinger: We’ll Continue to Invest in Taiwanedit

Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger has reached Taiwan with an aim to restrengthen the chipmaker’s supply chain in the region and improve foundry capacity at TSMC’s advanced process nodes. Before taking off on the flight to Taiwan, Gelsinger had a few words for his Taiwanese partners and employees. Starting off by explaining the impact of the pandemic on the semiconductor industry, and the chip shortages, Gelsinger noted Taiwan’s contributions to the industry. Calling the island nation the “center of digital innovation”, he revealed that Taiwan is home to more than 1,000 Intel employees.

Acer Announces Year End Sale with Upto Rs. 40,000 Off On Gaming Laptopsedit

Taiwanese laptop and PC maker Acer, today, announced the “Loot Out Store Sale (LOSS)” that brings discounts on many of its products in India. The company said that the discounts will be applicable between December 16th and 17th, and will be applicable only on products sold through Acer’s online store. The offers include discounts of up to 67% on the company’s gaming devices and accessories, while peripherals and some other products are also included in the sale. Acer’s air purifiers will also be available for sale on the LOSS year-end-sale.
