As Singapore has become the preeminent destination for Cruising for Indian travellers, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is exploring strengthening its engagement with travel intermediaries in India to make them package seamlessly the cruise holidays with land experiences in Singapore. Out of the total 2.2 lakh cruise outbound that happened from India, Singapore alone received 1.6 lakh cruise travellers in 2018.

Tourism companies make a beeline to woo Indians amid slowdowedit

International tourism boards are looking at India with renewed interest. Singapore Tourism Board, for instance, with a presence in India for 25 years, says the Indian market cannot be ignored. Indians are taking more holidays, sometimes up to three a year. Apart from tourists from tier I markets, we also saw a healthy 12% increase in Indian tourists from secondary cities.
