Thailand extends visa on arrival fee waiver for India till April 2020edit

As announced by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Royal Thai Government has yet again given a nod to an extension of the visaonarrival fee waiver for tourists visiting from 20 nations for the next six months, starting from November 1, 2019, until April 30, 2020.

A Bloomberg report on Tuesday, citing travel website Ixigo, said that bookings and travel searches for New Delhi from key international areas including Singapore, Thailand and Qatar have fallen 44%. On the other hand, bookings and queries from New Delhi to other destinations have increased 25%, the report quoted Ixigo. It said tourists are preferring Himalayan hill stations and destinations in the state of Rajasthan, home to the Thar desert.
