Higher educational institutions in India do not have the permission to offer degree programmes in Engineering, Medicine, Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing, Architecture, Physiotherapy, and other technical disciplines in the distance learning mode. The government had shut down all such institutions that offered distance learning for these courses in 2013.

Indian renewable firms plan $2.5 billion in offshore dollar bond issuesedit

Four Indian renewable power producers are planning to raise up to USD 2.5 billion via dollar bonds offshore because of caution among domestic lenders, banking sources said. In addition to the four solar and wind power firms, a fifth company that invests in renewable projects, Adani Group, has raised USD 250 million via a loan but has yet to publicly announce the borrowing, the sources told Reuters.

Conclusion India can learn from the countries like Germany who made tremendous development in solar energy production. By 2014, Germany had installed 38 GW, China 28 GW, and Japan 23 GW of solar power capacity. But, when we count these numbers with per million population of those countries, it is clearly seen that Germany with 469MW/million population is way ahead of Japan with 181 MW/million and China at 20MW/million population.
