Interim Budget 2019: Government’s 10-point vision for 2030 presentededit
Piyush Goyal, who has been appointed as the interim finance minister presented his maiden Union Budget in the Lok Sabha. Budget 2019 pushes for electric vehiclesedit
Interim Budget 2019-20 bypassed the automobile industry with no major announcements to boost growth excluding electric vehicles. In a bid to move towards a cleaner ‘new India’ by 2022, interim finance minister Piyush Goyal stressed on electric vehicle (EV) adoption as his vision for the next decade.
The previous Budget talked about making India pollution free and reducing the country’s dependence on crude oil and natural gas. The latest Budget focus was on electric cars.
