Deloitte India suggests road map for EV adoptionedit
As India focuses on clean energy, the popularity of electric vehicles (EVs) in the country is increasing, driving their sales. With the market for EVs expanding in India, Deloitte India, in its latest report on the future of mobility released on Thursday, suggests potential models for EV adoption in the country. According to the consultancy firm, appropriate business models would help create synergy among stakeholders, and leverage their competence and expertise towards a common outcome.

Cabinet approves National policy for software productsedit
The Cabinet on Thursday approved a national policy on software products that aims to position India as a hub for software products development and creating 65 lakh jobs by 2025.
“India’s IT revenue is USD 168 billion but most of it is services. Software product component is less, it is just USD 7.1 billion. Most of the software products are imported. The software product policy is designed to make India a big centre of software products by 2025,” IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said after the Cabinet briefing.

Amazon to promote STEM educationedit
Amazon India is to promote STEM education and is in the process of setting up Atal Tinkering Labs in government schools in Telangana and Karnataka as part of its CSR programme.
Atal Tinkering Labs, an initiative under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) of NITI Aayog, was set up with an objective to create opportunities to develop Neoteric Child Innovators in India. ATLs are dedicated work spaces where students (Class 6th to Class 12th) learn innovation skills and develop ideas that will go on to transform India.
