Women Account For Only A Fifth Of India’s Startup Workforce: Reportedit

Bringing out the gender disparity in the Indian startup ecosystem, a new report has found that women represent about 22% of the workforce employed by Indian startups. The report by Trifecta Capital titled ‘Human Capital In The New Economy – Benchmarks And Best Practices 2019’ has surveyed 45 companies representing 49,161 employees. Brands such as Innoviti, Quikr and Big Basket participated in the survey.

Faced downtime but bounced back, says Amazon CFOedit

Seattle-based online retail major Amazon on Friday said it had to face downtime in India owing to recent changes in the country’s e-commerce regulations. While pointing out that it has bounced back since then, Brian T Olsavsky (pictured), senior vice president and chief financial officer of Amazon, said during an earnings call that the company had to make structural changes to comply with all the new regulations in India.
