Pepperfry targets Rs 2000-crore revenue from ‘House Brands’ by 2020edit

Home and furniture products marketplace, Pepperfry is targeting Rs 2,000 crore revenue from its ‘House Brands’ (in-house brands) business by 2020 to be led by its omnichannel strategy, its top executive told FE. Additionally, Pepperfry aims to launch 30 Snooze studios by end of the fiscal, of which 12 have been launched, four standalone and eight in store. Amazon launches Telangana’s largest delivery station near Hyderabadedit

Amazon India on Wednesday announced the launch of its largest delivery station in Ranga Reddy district near Hyderabad to power the e-commerce website’s last-mile delivery capabilities. With the latest expansion that adds 20,000 square feet, Amazon now has close to 90 of its own delivery stations and delivery service partner stations and more than 2,500 ‘I Have Space’ delivery partners in the state. The doubling of its delivery network will enable the e-commerce site to penetrate further into smaller towns across Telangana. The company also announced the expansion of its delivery network in smaller cities and towns like Sangareddy, Kothagudem, Siddipet and Jagityal.

Amazon India most attractive employer brand, Microsoft India 2nd: Surveyedit

E-commerce giant Amazon India is the most attractive employer brand in the country followed by Microsoft India and Sony India, says a survey. According to the Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) 2019, released Monday, Amazon scored high on financial health, utilisation of latest technologies and a strong reputation. Microsoft India emerged as the runner-up, followed by Sony India. Others in the top 10 most-attractive employer brands in India for 2019 include Mercedes-Benz at 4th position, IBM (5th), Larsen & Toubro (6th), Nestle (7th), Infosys (8th), Samsung (9th) and Dell (10th).

Government turns down traders’ e-commerce regulator demandedit

The government has ruled out the possibility of a regulator for the ecommerce sector as it prepares to finalise a national policy on e-commerce. Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal has told small traders and retailers to explore ways to benefit from ecommerce platforms but turned down their demand for a regulator for the sector.
