AMD Ryzen 4000 “Renoir” APU Graphics Specs Leaked: Up to 13CUs, 832 Streaming Processorsedit

AMD is expected to launch it’s Ryzen 4000 APU lineup for both gaming laptops as well as the budget desktop space in early 2020. These CPUs dubbed “Renoir” will leverage the 7nm Zen 2 design instead of the 12nm Zen+ cores that the 3000 series Picasso chips feature. As such, you can expect a hefty single-core boost, better gaming performance as well as a more efficient TDP. The graphics side although supposedly will retain the Vega graphics core, it’ll be beefed up with a higher core count. We have some unofficial figures right here.

AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT Launch Date Draws Near: Spotted on ECC Portaledit

AMD launched the Radeon RX 5500 XT last week to tackle NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1650 Super and reclaim thew budget GPU space. It performs quite well at 1080p beating the latter in most cases, albeit the pricing is still a concern. We’ve been hearing of a second budget Navi card, presumably the RX 5600 XT for a while now. Whether this part will be based on the same Navi 14 core or the illusive Navi 12 remains to be seen.

Oracle Cloud Applications Now Live On India Data Centreedit

Oracle has announced that Oracle Cloud Applications is now live on its “Gen 2” Cloud region in the country. Marvell Expands R&D Footprint in Indiaedit

Marvell announced the addition of its new state-of-the-art facility in Bangalore. Marvell India Private Limited, which is the company’s second largest research and development (R&D) center, spans three sites – Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad. The new Bangalore campus is over 160,000 square feet and is expected to be a center of growth over the next year.

Nvidia touts chip deals with China’s Alibaba, Baidu and Didiedit

Nvidia Corp on Wednesday said it has won a series of deals in which some of China’s biggest technology companies are using its chips to make product recommendations and to develop self-driving vehicles. Nvidia told reporters that e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd and search engine provider Baidu Inc have started using its chips to run systems that make recommendations to users with the aim of increasing the number of times users click on those recommendations.

India server market revenue hits $280.1 mn in Q3 2019edit

The overall server market in India witnessed a Year-over-Year (YoY) growth of a dismal 0.8 per cent in terms of revenue to reach $280.1 million in the third quarter (Q3) versus $277.8 million in Q3 of 2018, a new report by International Data Corporation (IDC) said on Wednesday. According to IDC’s ‘Worldwide Quarterly Server Tracker 3Q19 December 2019’ report, this growth is majorly driven by non-x86 server market as it registered big deals from large public and private banks in India during Q3 2019.

Facebook Buys Cloud Gaming Company PlayGiga for Undisclosed Amountedit

In a bid to gain footprint into cloud-based game streaming market, Facebook has acquired Spanish video gaming firm PlayGiga. According to a CNBC report, the acquisition comes at a time when tech giants like Apple and Google have rolled out cloud-based video game streaming services like Apple Arcade and Google Stadia. Microsoft has also previewed its xCloud game streaming service. A Spanish business newspaper Cinco Dias claimed that Facebook acquired PlayGiga for about $78 million (roughly Rs. 554 crores).
