Though the name might make it look intimidating, it is just an entry-level discrete GPU, aimed towards offering better computer performance rather than gaming. The Intel Iris Xe MAX GPU is designed and developed to go with the 11th Gen Tiger Lake processors, which comes with built-in Iris Xe-LP GPU, where LP stands for low-power. The Iris Xe MAX is likely to go head-to-head against the NVIDIA MX250/MX350 GPUs, instead of mainstream graphics cards.

We already know that AMD is developing its very own ray-tracing feature to compete against Nvidia in 4K gaming. Several leaks have already placed the RX 6800 GPU above the Nvidia RTX 3070 in terms of performance. However, now a new leak has claimed to reveal the version of AMD’s new ray-tracing feature. The leak was provided by @PJ_LAB_UH, which states that AMD’s Big Navi RX 6800 card performs remarkably well in terms of ray-tracing workloads. It is because it lacks the DLSS upscaling technology. According to sources, the Radeon RX 6800 managed to get 80 fps while running Shadow of Tomb Raider at 1440p resolution with ray-tracing enabled.

Intel To Purchase SigOpt, An AI Software Optimisation Platformedit

Intel has announced that the company is planning to acquire a San Francisco-based software optimisation startup — SigOpt. The company further stated that the terms of the deal are expected to close this quarter, however, weren’t disclosed to the media. According to the company’s statement to the media, Intel is planning to leverage SigOpt’s technologies across its products to accelerate, amplify, and scale AI software tools for developers. The company further stated that SigOpt’s software technologies would be combined with Intel hardware products to gain a competitive advantage and provide differentiated value for data scientists and developers.

Data centre industry to see USD 5 billion investment by 2025 on data localisation, higher digitisationedit

Data centers, which have seen massive growth on the back of data localization diktats and the pandemic, will witness USD 5 billion in investments till March 2025 and a threefold increase in capacity, a report said on Monday. The overall capacity, which is measured by the amount of power they consume, stood at 360 MW as of March 2020, and the same is expected to surge to 1,100-1,200 MW by the end of March 2025 after the investments of up to USD 5 billion, the report by the research arm of rating agency Crisil said.

Chipmaker Qualcomms next-gen flagship mobile processor the Snapdragon 875 will reportedly be 25 per cent faster than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 865/865+. According to AnTuTu benchmark score, the upcoming chipset notched up more than 847,000 points as opposed to the 663,000 scored by its predecessor, reports GSMArena. AnTuTu benchmark is a benchmarking tool for Android smartphones and tablets, that lets you check the performance of your device.
