AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Graphics Card (PROACTIVE)edit

AMD has done it. The new ‘RDNA 2’-based Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards are very competitive, priced much lower and aren’t power-hungry for the performance that they deliver. We only have the pricing for the RX 6800 which does work out well for the Indian market given that the GPUs do have the performance to back it up. What remains to be seen is how the RX 6800 XT will be priced. We’ll know about that in a weeks time and hopefully, it’s competitively priced compared to the RTX 3080 or equivalent.

AMD Radeon RX 6800 is now available via online and offline retail channels in India. AMD announced the Radeon RX 6000 series late last month. It comprises three new graphics cards – AMD Radeon RX 6800, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, and the top-end AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT. While AMD hasn’t revealed the pricing details for Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6900 XT, the suggested e-tailer pricing (SEP) of Radeon RX 6800 has been announced by the company.

AMD CEO Lisa Su gets chip industry’s highest honoredit

Advanced Micro Devices CEO Lisa Su has received the chip industry’s highest honor as the 2020 recipient of the Robert N. Noyce Award. The Semiconductor Industry Association, the chip industry lobbying group, gave her the award in an online ceremony today. Normally, the event takes place in San Jose, California, and has about 1,000 attendees.

The company has now revealed the Indian price of these new GPUs that competes against the RTX 3000 series of GPUs. The reference card (from AMD) of the RX 6800 will be available in India with a starting price of Rs. 45,999 (tax not included). Similarly, the AIB models (from board partners) of the RX 6800 and the RX 6800XT will go on sale in the country from November 25th.

PowerColor Shows off the Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Deviledit

After much teasing, PowerColor today showed off its Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Devil graphics card, featuring an aesthetic design with plenty of (red) LED lighting and a bulky triple-fan heatsink. Colorful is opting for a 14 phase VRM for its flagship, a step down from the reference PCB which comes with a 15 phase design for the graphics core and 2 phases for the memory.

Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti Reportedly Faster Than RTX 2080 Super In Benchmarksedit

NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti has been detailed in a new leak by VideoCardz, in a slide that was reportedly sent to the press. No performance figures were given by the company besides a relative comparison between RTX 3060 Ti and the RTX 2080 Super. Nvidia GeForce Now Games Available on Apple iPhone and iPad via Safari, Fortnite Coming Soonedit

Nvidia’s cloud-based game streaming service, GeForce Now is now available on iOS devices through the Safari web browser. Nvidia in a blog post said that the streaming service is currently available in beta version and over 5 million users can now use the service on Apple iPhone and iPad via Safari. The development also means that GeForce Now members with an Apple iPhone or iPad can play Fortnite on the device, which is currently unavailable on Apple App Store.

Nvidia reported strong fiscal third-quarter results Thursday afternoon, managing to beat some already aggressive targets laid out by Wall Street. Revenue set new records at both the company’s key videogaming and data center segments, with sales for the latter exploding 162% year-over-year to hit $1.9 billion. Gaming revenue jumped 37%, exceeding $2 billion for the first time on a quarterly basis, thanks to strong demand for the company’s latest processors—and that was with supply shortages that the company said Thursday would take a few more months to clear.

Intel’s Core i7-11370H makes its appearance on Geekbenchedit

The wait is finally over, and we yet to have the grand appearance of the Tiger Lake-H series on Geekbench. According to sources, Intel’s Core i7-11370H is a quad-core processor that comes with 12 MB of L3 cache plus 1.25 MB of L2 cache and 320 KB of combined L1 cache. The processor is a Hyper-Threaded processor with a base clock of 3.29 GHz and a boost clock of 4.79 GHz. According to sources, intel’s Core i7-11370H has been manufactured on its Tiger Lake-U platform, which is highly unusual. But the processor is named Core i7-11370H, which should imply that it is based on the Tiger Lake-H platform.

According to ICEA, whose members include Apple, Xiaomi, Motorola, Nokia, Foxconn, Electronics, Lava, Vivo, among others, the domestic market will ac-count for around $170 billion by 2025, and there is a need to look at export markets for rest of $230 billion to meet the target of NPE 2019.

Laptop, tablet manufacturing in India $100B opportunity: Reportedit

Boosting export-oriented local manufacturing of laptops and tablets can open up $100 billion opportunity for India by 2026, said a new report on Wednesday. Currently, the global manufacturing hubs for laptops and tablets are limited to a handful of countries with China being the predominant supplier to the world with 66 per cent market share in 2019, worth $100 billion, said the joint report by industry body India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA) and global consultancy major EY.

Data centre industry gets nearly $400 mn fundingedit

Indian data centre industry is emerging as an alternative real estate asset class and has attracted investment worth nearly $400 million during January-September this year, according to a report by property consultant Anarock and Mace. The data centre industry has attracted close to $977 million in private equity and strategic investments since 2008. Out of this, nearly 40 per cent or approx $396 million was infused between Jan-Sept 2020 period alone, Anarock said in a statement.
