Kaithal farmers say no to stubble-burningedit
In a unique initiative under “Haryana-Ek Sudhar” programme of the Khattar Government, farmers in Kaithal on Monday pledged not to burn stubble in a bid to reduced pollution and protect environment.

The situation in rain and landslide-hit Kodagu has considerably improved with 719 more people returning home and two more relief centres closed on Tuesday. Presently there are 2,469 people in 25 relief camps. Earlier, a total 7,594 people were housed in 51 relief centres.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) to promote cooperation between agriculture and forestry research, particularly in exchange of scientists and technologists, germplasm, breeding material and scientific knowledge, besides development and implementation of collaborative research projects.
