In a bid to address farmers’ woes, the state government has proposed to step up use of information technology and real time data to provide timely assistance to farmers. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in an interaction with Wipro Ltd board member Rishad Premji at the NASSCOM 2019 event said the state government was moving towards a trillion dollar economy by 2025 from the present $400 billion with a prime focus on agriculture.
