Nagaland takes measures to save maize crop from pest attackedit
With the Fall Armyworm (FAW) affecting maize cultivation in Nagaland, the horticulture department has started taking measures to mitigate the problem, officials said. The department has also decided to carry out a survey to estimate the quantum of damage caused by the pest attack, they said.

Farmer sets stubble on fire again, cops shut eyesedit
Panic spread among residents, as a farmer resorted to stubble burning in his fields located in the New Model Town area of Sahnewal on Thursday evening. Sahnewal police have failed to identify the accused so far.
