Also, a policy decision has been taken to use direct benefit transfers (DBT) while disbursing benefits of 13 schemes worth Rs 2,000 crore to farmers. “The schemes already existed. The benefits will now be transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts to cut corruption,” said agriculture minister Anil Bonde.
