Like last year, this year also bumper procurement of paddy has taken place in the state. So far, 10.96 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured in the government paddy procurement centers of the state. Last year, 10.17 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was procured in the entire paddy procurement season. On Sunday, Food Minister Banshidhar Bhagat gave this information after reviewing the procurement session. He informed that in the last Kharif-procurement season 2020-21, a total of 10.17 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was procured.
