The state government has procured about 22 lakh tons of paddy in the current kharif marketing season. Food and civil supplies commissioner, Sorabh Babu said that till December 10, paddy worth more than Rs 3,525.78 crore has been purchased from more than 3 lakh farmers, the payment for which has been made within 72 hours of purchase.
