Agriculture and allied activities are estimated to grow at 3.9 per cent in FY22, up from 3.6 per cent in the last fiscal, according to the first advance estimates of national income released on Friday. In current prices, growth is estimated to be 9.1 per cent in FY22, up from 6.6 per cent during the same period last year. This translates into an inflation impact of around 9.1 per cent. Assam government initiates step to procure 10 lakh MT paddy at Minimum Support Price from farmersedit

Assam government has initiated step to procure 10 lakh MT paddy at Minimum Support Price (MSP) from farmers. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma directed to step up measures for procurement of paddy in the state by agencies including FCI, AFCSCL, NAFED, NACOF, NCCF and ASAMB in a meeting held with officials of FCS&CA, Agriculture and Revenue Department as well as representatives of the procurement agencies.
