Maharashtra launches it’s own Agriculture Export Policy; seeks consistency in centre’s export policy to promote state’s agri exportsedit

The Government of Maharashtra launched the state’s Agriculture Export Policy (AEP) on Friday, which will focus on export promotion of 21 agricultural commodities. The Government of India had unveiled its Agriculture Export Policy in December 2018, directing the state governments to draft their own policy. Accordingly, the state government had constituted a committee in May 2019 to draft the policy. Addressing stakeholders of the agriculture export chain, Anoop Kumar, chief secretary (Co-operation and Marketing), Maharashtra, said “We have to focus on exports as it can help increase the net income of farmers by about 40% to 45%. The domestic market has limited capacity to give remunerative returns to farmers.”

Paddy procurement in Tiruchy likely to pick up pace pace in Marchedit

Despite the fact that 50 per cent of Samba paddy has been harvested, procurement at DPCs is yet to gain pace in Tiruchy. Within four weeks of commencement, about 16,000 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured through 35 DPCs across the district. The target for the current Samba season has been set at one lakh metric tonnes, which is twice the previous year’s figures. Though paddy procurement is higher this year compared with the previous season, official sources said the procurement has to gain pace in March to reach the target. मुख्यमंत्री घस्यारी कल्याण योजना के तहत पशुपालकों को दिए जाने वाले चारे की बिक्री में क्रय विक्रय समिति पर सरकारी नियमों की अनदेखी का आरोप लगा है। एक पशुपालक ने एसडीएम को सूचना देकर क्रय विक्रय समिति की मनमानी रोकने की मांग की है। पशुपालक विनोद कुमार ने एसडीएम को बताया कि शासनादेश के मुताबिक प्रति किलो दो रुपये की दर से पशु चारा बेचना है जबकि इन कट्टों में 30 किलो वजन के बजाय 24 से 27 किलो तक चारा मिल रहा है। एक रुपये प्रति कट्टा लोडिंग भी वसूली जा रही है। वहीं समिति अध्यक्ष डॉ. भुवन गड़कोटी ने बताया कि लोडिंग, अनलोडिंग में चारे के कट्टे कट-फट जा रहे हैं। इससे सभी ...
