Andhra Pradesh: No delay in payments for paddy, clarifies ministeredit

Civil supplies minister Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Nani) said that paddy procurement in the state was nearing completion. He denied delay in clearing payments to farmers. He was responding to queries by TDP members in the assembly on Monday. He said the government has procured 36,75,995 metric tonnes during the 2021-22 procurement season. He said they procured 9.47 lakh metric tonne (MT) paddy from West Godavari, 7.51 lakh MT from Krishna and 6.89 lakh MT from East Godavari districts.
