Telangana: 15 lakh acres of barren land may lose Rythu Bandhu schemeedit

In a bid to reduce wasteful expenditure on Rythu Bandhu scheme from this year, the government is mulling over excluding about 15 lakh acres of barren and uncultivable land from payment ambit. As of now, Rythu Bandhu input support is extended to all farmers and Rs 10,000 per acre per year is being paid to all irrespective of cultivable or uncultivable land.
