Agri-Startup Conclave and Kisan Sammelan 2022 to be inaugurated by PM Modiedit

Agri-Startup Conclave and Kisan Sammelan is scheduled to be held at New Delhi on 17th and 18th October 2022 and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the occasion, PM Modi will also be releasing the 12th instalment of PM-Kisan farmer welfare scheme. The event is based on the theme “Badalta Krishi Paridrishya Aur Takneek” and will showcase the role played by Agri-startups in different segments of agriculture including agri-machineries, agri-inputs, Innovation in agri technologies and various farmer friendly practices to the farmers. Grain glut as Haryana mandis inundated with paddy stockedit

With paddy harvesting at its peak and most of the grain markets in rice producing districts of Haryana overflowing with stock, slow pace of procurement by the government agencies has led to a glut, forcing the farmers to line up for hours outside the mandis to unload their produce. The officials monitoring the procurement operations said that efforts were being made to speed up lifting of the procured paddy to make space for more stock. India Auto Inc clocks 11% retail growth, 1.46m units in festive Septemberedit

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) today released the all-India retail sales numbers for September 2022 and the data reveals that the industry is poised to record sustained growth going ahead. With 1.46 million units (14,64,001) sold last month across the two-, three-wheelers, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and tractor segments, India Auto Inc has notched good double-digit growth of 11% over September 2021’s 13,19,647 units. Except for tractors, which is down by 1.5%, all other categories are in positive territory – two-wheelers (9%), three-wheelers (72%), passenger vehicles (10%) and commercial vehicles (19%).
