Maharashtra Gets INR 8,460 Cr Under Agri Infra Fund Up To 2025-26edit

Maharashtra has been allocated a tentative amount of INR 8460 Crore out of the aggregate allocation INR 1 Lakh crore for the Agri Infra Fund (AIF) Scheme up to 2025-26. This was stated by Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in Lok Sabha today, August 1.
Centre approves Rs 951 crore special assistance for Uttarakhand; CM Dhami thanks PM Modiedit

Under capital investment 2023-24 an approval of Rs 951 crore has been given by the Union Ministry of Finance as special assistance (loan) to Uttarakhand, an official statement from the Uttarakhand Chief Minister’s office said on Tuesday. Following the special assistance provided to the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the statement read.

Mohali DC orders inspection of Stubble Management Machinery available in districts to ensure its optimum utilizationedit

With a view to preventing paddy stubble fire incidents and ensure optimum utilisation of stubble management machinery in District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar during the year 2023, Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain, today, held an online review meeting. She directed the SDMs and other concerned officers to ensure inspection of all the subsidized stubble management machinery available in the district by August 15, 2023 to make it functional for the management of paddy straw in the coming paddy harvesting season.

Mahindra tractor sales up 8% in April at 25,175 unitsedit

Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday reported an 8 percent decline in total tractor sales to 25,175 units in July. The company sold a total of 23,307 units in the same month last year, M&M said in a statement. Domestic tractor sales were at 24,168 units last month, as against 21,684 in July last year, a growth of 11 percent, it added. According to Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, the cumulative seasonal rainfall spread across the country has recovered very well in the month of July, and this has helped sowing of kharif acreage pick up momentum.
