Govt: TN became forerunner in agri production due to various schemesedit
The state government on Thursday said Tamil Nadu is self-sufficient in food production and is giving food grains to neighbouring states, thanks to the efficient schemes being implemented by the government headed by Chief Minister MK Stalin.

83% of paddy buy payments made to farmers: Chauhanedit
Civil supplies commissioner DS Chauhan on Thursday said the state govt has cleared 6,000 crore worth loans taken during the BRS govt tenure. Addressing a press conference, he said paddy procurement across 7,421 centres was going on smoothly. “I personally monitored 80 procurement centres where procurement is going on swiftly. So far, 83% of paddy purchase payments have been completed and farmers are getting money within three days,” he said.
