Business conglomerate ITC is set to launch the ‘ITC MAARS’ app, which seeks to offer a wide range of agricultural solutions to farmers, while creating new revenue streams and providing better markets for advanced agriculture and rural services. The company said that the app is set to benefit around 10 million farmers across multiple crop clusters. M&M tractor sales grows 49% in Apriledit

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Monday reported a 49% YoY jump in total tractor sales to 40,939 units for April 2022. Its total sales in April 2021 had stood at 27,523 units, the company said in a statement. Tractor sales in the domestic market grew 51% to 39,405 units in the previous month, compared with 26,130 tractors sold a year ago. Sales in the overseas market surged 10% to 1,534 units, from 1,393 tractors in the year-ago month, it added. “Our business witnessed strong growth with demand drivers staying on course. Farm equipment manufacturer Escorts Agri Machinery on Sunday reported a growth of 20.2% in domestic tractor sales to 7,676 units in April 2022. The company had sold 6,386 units in April 2021. Total tractor sales during last month stood at 8,325 units as against 6,979 units in April 2021, up 19.3%, Escorts said in a regulatory filing.
