Punjab farmers say phased paddy sowing may cause yield lossedit

The directions issued by Punjab government about staggered sowing of paddy by dividing the state into four zones has not been appreciated by farmers. The farm organisations claim that asking farmers to wait till the last week of June to transplant paddy is unfavourable as they may end up losing the yield due to late sowing.
