It was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo and is a part of a partnership between Ashok Leyland and Sun Mobility which was announced in July last year.

Solar power to charge cars, buses soon: Bangalore Electricity Supply Companyedit

Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) is working on a plan to have solar power charge electric vehicles. Speaking to TNIE on the sidelines of the launch of city-wide rooftop solar initiative, BESCOM Managing Director C. Shikha said, We are working on a design to have electric charging points that generate electricity through solar panels for electric vehicles.
