Piaggio Vehicles, the Indian arm of the Italian automaker, makes its entry into the electric vehicle segment on Wednesday with the launch of electric three-wheeler Ape’ E-City priced at Rs 1.97 lakh. Ape’ E-City is the first product under company Ape’ Electrik range which will have full range of electric vehicles across various categories, Piaggio said in a release.

Piaggio, Ape E-City, is the first main-stream electric three-wheeler to be launched on SUN Mobility’s integrated open-architecture platform, that supports a variety of 2 and 3 wheelers.
